Colonia reinvented itself from a Mexican restaurant to a flavorful Mediterranean restaurant. What a risk worth taking!! Very vibrant menu. I tried the Aleppo Benedict and Seared Halloumi Cheese. Flavors are amazing! Give it a try. Food is great! My only small request is adding a luleh kabob and rice dish.

I've passed here many times and never had the opportunity to stop in. Well I'm glad I finally did. The restaurant was quite empty for a Friday afternoon so I took a seat at the bar. I was immediately greeted and provided with a menu. The menu contained a mixture of traditional Hispanic dishes but with a twist. There was also a generous beer list to partake in. I inquired about the different types of beers available and was provided with samples to make an informed decision. The beers I sampled were quite flavorful and enjoyable. On to some food. The chorizo fries caught my eye as a great bar appetizer loaded with various toppings. Unfortunately I am not a big fry person and asked for a slight modification. I asked to switch the fries for chips making it more of a nacho appetizer. They were glad to oblige and the result was amazing. I look forward to going back and one day trying the famous fideo.
